The Laser Tools 8912 Locking Wheel Nut Removal Kit is a specialist extraction system designed to remove damaged, seized or keyless locking wheel nuts and bolts safely and efficiently.
Unlike improvised removal methods that risk damaging alloy wheels or wheel studs, this kit uses a series of precision centring guides to accurately position the drill, ensuring the locking wheel nut is drilled centrally before extraction.
The kit includes a range of internal and external centring guides, allowing it to tackle many different locking wheel nut designs. A dedicated guide is also supplied for free spinning locking wheel nuts, one of the most difficult styles to remove using conventional techniques.
Two high speed steel drill bits fitted with carbide cutting inserts are included, enabling the user to drill through hardened security coatings found on many locking wheel nuts. Once drilled, the supplied hardened steel extractors are used together with the impact extractor holder to remove the damaged locking nut safely.
Everything is supplied in a robust blow moulded storage case, keeping all components organised and protected between jobs.

Workshop Notes

Attempting removal using chisels, sockets or welding techniques often damages expensive alloy wheels before the locking nut even begins to move.
